Good morning! And welcome back to the HomeAcre Hop! Hosted by:
Carol from Everything Home with Carol,
Lisa Lynn from The Self Sufficient HomeAcre
We have several things lined up for you this morning: a new giveaway, the winners of the lip balm, and our little get together! But first…
I recently enjoyed the privilege of being able to sample some handcrafted soap from Green Circle Grove, and I’d like to tell you about it.
My soap arrived in my post office box on a Saturday morning and before I even took it out of the package I could smell the homey scent of cinnamon in the “Hearth and Home” bar that was almost too pretty to use.
Use it I did though, and enjoyed the soothing texture of oatmeal as well as the knowledge that what I was using was made up of all natural ingredients.
Green Circle Grove is the joint venture of Meredith and Kristen, a small home industry that produces tote bags (made by Meredith) as well as beautifully crafted natural soaps (made by Kristen).
According to Meredith, green symbolizes balance and harmony; circle: family and unity; and grove: constant growth. The two then began showing their wares at local craft fairs ten years ago as well as providing soap making demonstrations.
Their line of soaps now includes 74 different scents.
Meredith and Kristen are attentive to every detail, carefully planning and analyzing each component from the natural ingredients to the scent that goes into every bar. Each is crafted the old fashioned way from lye, vegetable oils such as olive and coconut, and essential oils. Herbs, poppyseeds, coffee grounds, or oatmeal are used for texture.
Green Circle Grove now limits their craft fair showings to just one per season but they’ve expanded their venture to include an Etsy store and have graciously offered three bars to give away to one of you!
One lucky winner will receive one each of the following:
“Faerie Princess”—Is a delicate pink glittery soap lightly scented with vanilla, violets, apple and berries–suitable for any princess
“Easter”- Produces a hyacinth scent that according to Meredith “Smells just like we remember the church smelling on Easter morning when we were young…”
“Etta’s Dream”- Is the sun-kissed scent of summer fields: grasses, strawberries and mint, all swirled together and tied up with a bow.

Meredith blogs HERE about her ventures with chickens, shares recipes, and simple living ideas; she is also a contributor for Community Chickens. Visit their Etsy site HERE to take a look at some of her beautiful bags as well as their soap.
We have a winner!
Katherine and Debra Ann have been contacted and will be receiving their prize shortly.
Thank you Mary from Mary’s Basics for sponsoring the giveaway and sending these to our lucky winners!

Two from Lisa (she had a difficult time deciding so she chose both)
Carol’s Pick! Carol picked this feature because her DIL almost burned down the house with a burn barrel…
…and I chose this one having suffered a recent bout of kennel cough with one of the doggies:
