I’m learning how to: cultivate an “attitude of gratitude” by focusing on the things we do have as opposed to dwelling on what we don’t.  Husbie and I have started an evening ritual of listing at least three good things that happened over the course of the day.  They may be as epic as launching a facet of our small business or as “small” as a conversation enjoyed over dinner.

I’m reading: O Pioneers by Willa Cather ~ the story of an immigrant family and their life on a farm in Nebraska at the turn of the century.  I thought it appropriate as we get ready to move to our land.  Not as moving as My Antonia, but still a very good read and one I’d recommend.

I’m watching: The 20/20 Katie Couric interview with the Royal Family.  I’m not a fan of Katie, but I’m a great fan of the Windsors and enjoyed this inside look at the Queen, Buckingham Palace, and personal interviews with Princes William and Harry.   And speaking of the Wales’ ::snort:: I recently enjoyed “Into the Deep: America, Whaling, and the World”; a fascinating look at the history of the American Whaling Industry.  Available to watch online at An American Experience.

Current Guilty Pleasure: Green and Black’s Organic Dark Chocolate infused with peppermint oil.

Current Obstacle: Time.  I’m struggling to get it all together and get it all done.
