Some Random Things about Me

…me being the Mrs.

~ My favorite things to grow: lettuces.  I can make a wicked green salad.

~ I used to play the flute quite well. My senior year in high-school I gave a concert and  played a Mozart Concerto, an unaccompanied piece by Debussy, and a Bach sonata (among a few other things). That being said   I haven’t picked up a flute in about ten years.

~ I love cupcakes and will sometimes drop everything in the middle of the day just to go and get one.

~ I have never cared for coffee.  I have always preferred a nice cup of hot tea.  Several.  With lemon.  Hold the cream and sugar please.

~ The best book I have ever read: duMaurier’s Rebecca.

~ I am absolutely terrified of snakes.

~ I hate being cold.

~ I love to tidy up and organize.  Deep cleaning? Not so much.

~ My husband and I met online through eHarmony.  We corresponded for three months, met face to face, then got engaged 48 hours later.

~ I keep a diary.  I write in it every night before I go to bed.

~ I lived in Central America for five years where I helped start a sewing school for the women in a small community.  I can still speak and understand a fair amount of Spanish.

~ I collect tea towels, children’s books, vintage hankies, and tea cups.
